Sam Smith, Kim Petras Share 'Unholy' Video

Sam Smith, Kim Petras Share 'Unholy' Video

Sam Smith and Kim Petras recently shared a music video for their collaboration, "Unholy," the lead single from Smith's fourth studio album.

Floria Sigismondi directed the video choreograhped by French dance collective (LA)HORDE. The visual stars Smith as a singing MC and Petras as a lustful dancer.

The visual shows the song's subject ducking out on his wife and sneaking off to his favorite sex club cabaret. But he soon finds his guilty pleasures revealed in a very public manner.

When the song's subject sneaks away from his wife for a night at the club, hidden under the guise of an actual auto body shop, he finds that the performance for the night is eerily reflecting his secret guilty pleasures back to him in a not-so-secret manner.

By the end of the visual, the man ends up on the hood of a car on stage, laying upside down with the word "cheater" spray painted beneath him. As the crowd parts, his wife walks down the runway and joins the ensemble as the curtains close.

The song debuted atop the U.K. Official Singles Chart, earning Smith their eighth No. 1 on the list. The single hit No. 1 worldwide on Apple Music and Spotify, where it also ranked among the Top 10 debuts of all time within the first 24 hours of release.

Paramore Announce New Album 'This Is Why,' Share Title Track

Paramore Announce New Album 'This Is Why,' Share Title Track

Paramore announced last week that they will be releasing a new album, This Is Why, on February 10 via Atlantic.

The band also released the title track, "This Is Why," and an accompanying video directed by Turnstile's Brendan Yates. The visual was shot in Malibu, California.

"'This Is Why' was the very last song we wrote for the album. To be honest, I was so tired of writing lyrics but [guitarist] Taylor [York] convinced [drummer] Zac [Farro] and I both that we should work on this last idea. What came out of it was the title track for the whole album," Paramore's Hayley Williams said in a statement.

"It summarizes the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last three or four years," she added. "You'd think after a global pandemic of f---ing biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic or something."

"This Is Why" is Paramore's first new music since their 2017 album, After Laughter.

Lizzo Plays James Madison's Crystal Flute At D.C. Concert

Lizzo Plays James Madison's Crystal Flute At D.C. Concert

During her gig at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., on September 27, Lizzo played the historic crystal flute made for the fourth president of the United States, James Madison, in 1813.

The flute, which was crafted by the Parisian watchmaker and mechanic Claude Laurent, was lent to Lizzo by the Library of Congress.

"@lizzo we would love for you to come see it and even play a couple when you are in DC next week," the Library of Congress wrote earlier in the week. "Like your song they are 'Good as Hell.'"

"This is crazy. I have to be really careful," Lizzo said. "It's crystal, it's like playing out of a wine glass b-h, so be patient."

She then trilled a few notes on the instrument, held it up triumphantly over her head and carefully returned it back to the Smithsonian rep.

"B-h I just twerked and played James Madison's flue from the 1800s!" Lizzo yelled. "We just made history tonight! Thank you to the Library of Congress for preserving our history and making history cool. History is freaking cool, you guys!"

In another post, Lizzo wrote, "I'm the first and only person to play this presidential crystal flute. It's literally an heirloom - Like. as a flute player this is iconic and I will never be over it."

DaBaby Drops 'Boogeyman' Video Featuring Megan Thee Stallion Look-A-Like

DaBaby recently dropped a music video for his new track "Boogeyman," featuring a Megan Thee Stallion look-a-like. DaBaby plays the role of the Boogeyman in the horror-themed video.

"Boogeyman" is a song from the North Carolina rapper's recently released 14-track album, Baby on Baby 2.

DaBaby claims in the track that he had sex with Megan Thee Stallion.

"You play with me that s**t was childish/ The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f**kin on Megan Thee Stallion," he raps in the opening lines, referring to MTS's allegation that rapper and singer Lanez shot her in the foot in Hollywood Hills, California, in July 2020.

DaBaby labeled himself the Boogeyman, warning his enemies not to play with him.

Tory Lanez, 30, was charged in this case, but he pleaded not guilty.

A criminal trial in this case was scheduled to begin on September 14, but the judge granted a postponement to later this year.

Megan Thee Stallion has not responded to the claims in the controversy-riddled artist's new song.
