A 2004 Japanese family-friendly documentary about the process of training service dogs. The film follows Quill, a yellow Labrador puppy, who has unusual empathy and remarkable patience, from his training to his eventual assignment to Mr. Wanatabe, a lonely and ill-tempered middle-aged man. Quill reveals much about Japanese culture and is not a standard Disney movie. The film highlights the cycle of life and raises awareness about the visually impaired. Subtitles are about fourth grade reading level
